LINK TO VOTE: It's time to get your vote in! Four finalists have been chosen for the award and they are Woody Linton, Ron Baker, Lisa Moncrief and Laurine Goerzen.
Executive director of the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation, Darlene MacGillivray explains how they were chosen. "We had a tremendous response to the invitation to the general public to come forward with nominations. We totalled up 16 different individuals. From that our marketing committee did a selection process. They were originally going to take three finalists but we had a tie. So we ended up with four finalists," she said. MacGillivray explains how you can vote. "Their information and photographs are up on our website right now for voting until October 30th. At that point we will move forward to our granting ceremony. We will be awarding our grants, recognizing the hard work of all the finalists and also our plaque for the winner," she said. The Granting Ceremony takes place on November 4th, beginning at 7 o'clock at the Minis Hall. Published: Friday, 23 October 2015 06:00 Written by Grace Protopapas Kenora Online
