The Township has provided the Centre with a large trailer to collect and store all your alcohol containers, glass, cans, tetra and bottles for recycling and reimbursement. This trailer is parked directly beside the Centre which makes it very convenient to drop off each time you are attending an activity or function rather than stock piling.
Here are some guidelines for sorting all your returnable alcohol bottles/cans/tetra etc: 1. Please rinse all bottles and cans to ensure we keep the little and big critters out. 2. Please put the following in boxes - remove all lids: clear glass, coloured glass, plastic, (tetra bladders) from boxed wine etc. 3. Please put the following in their original boxes if possible removing lids first: beer bottles, beer cans. 4. If crushing cans please advise how many are in the bag, it makes it much easier for the individual taking them back for reimbursement. If you are returning the items yourself Linda has forms at the Centre to count your returns if anyone would like to help. The Centre would like to thank Gary Cano for taking on this project. If anyone would like to assist Gary please contact Linda at the Centre. This project has been very successful in the past as a fund raiser and with our membership help we look forward to having another great year! |
